Struggling with Your Dog’s Aggressive Behaviour?
Is Your Dog’s Aggression Making Life Stressful?
Aggressive behavior in dogs can feel overwhelming, frustrating, and even isolating. Whether it’s unpredictable aggression towards other dogs, people, or even family members, you don’t have to face these challenges alone.
At Mindfulness4dogs, Darran Rowe, Clinical Animal Behaviourist, specializes in resolving aggression using science-backed, force-free methods. We NEVER use shock collars, punishment, or outdated training techniques—instead, we focus on identifying the root causes of aggression and helping your dog build confidence, trust, and emotional stability.
If your dog struggles with aggression, whether it’s fear-based, territorial, or triggered by certain situations, we’ll create a tailored behavior plan focused on long-term success, not quick fixes. Our approach fosters calm, positive transformations through understanding and compassion.
We offer private in-home behavioral consultations across Waikato and Taranaki, as well as sessions at our purpose-built training centre just outside Stratford. Not in these areas? No problem! Our online behavioral consultations provide expert guidance no matter where you are in New Zealand or worldwide.
Compassionate, ethical, and effective—because every dog deserves to feel secure and understood. Let’s work together to help your dog overcome aggression and enjoy a calmer, happier life.

Step 1 – Tell Us About Your Dog
My sister and I took our Labrador to see Darran for 2x 1-1 lessons to help with lead walking and nervousness towards dogs. Rosie was immediately at ease with Darran which is very unusual for her! Darran’s positive techniques and his calm manner instantly worked with Rosie. He explained his techniques and reasoning for them really clearly which made it easy for us to understand and replicate at home. We saw Rosie come along in leaps and bounds after just one lesson and we already feel much more confident when out with her. Can’t wait for our 2nd lesson. Would highly recommend Mindfulness4Dogs! Thanks Darran
