Becoming Bowlingual

In the timeless tale of human-dog companionship, we find ourselves connected by an age-old bond. From the pocket-sized and adorable to the large and fiercely protective, dogs come in all forms. Yet, beneath their diverse appearances lies a shared language—a way of communication that invites us to delve into the mindful art of understanding.

Picture it as unraveling the secrets of a new language, where only a fraction is expressed through words. The greater part of this canine communication is a dance of body language and gestures, a non-verbal dialogue that requires our attentive presence. It’s not an instinctive skill, so we embark on a journey of learning and practice.

The encouraging news is that we can all become fluent in ‘dog speak,’ especially when we start the learning process with our furry companions in their early days. Here comes the exciting part—becoming “Bowlingual®,” a term that encapsulates mastering the art of the doggy dialect. It’s like entering a realm where you and your dog seamlessly understand each other, transcending ordinary communication barriers.

But, here’s the catch—you need a guide, someone who not only comprehends the language but is adept at teaching it. Think of them as a mindfulness mentor, a linguist, and a behaviorist rolled into one, well-versed in the subtle cues of your canine companion.

So, imagine this as a voyage of discovery alongside your furry confidant. It’s not just about decoding words; it’s about forging an unspoken connection—a shared language of the heart. Together, in this mindful exploration, you and your dog become maestros of understanding, creating a bridge between human and canine experiences that transcends the ordinary, embracing the extraordinary journey of becoming Bowlingual.

What Clients are saying about us…

For anyone looking to improve their dogs behavior, then Darran is definitely the man to see. This guy is amazing.
His understanding of dogs and his mindfulness approach to training definitely works. Darran is a pleasure to work with and he calmly teaches you how to build communication and a stronger relationship with your dog. Our daughters dogs name is Mr Leo, a 4 yr old Labrador. He is an awesome dog and we have all made so much progress since our sessions with Darran and continue on the work ahead.
We highly recommended him.
Mike and Mr Leo

We took in an 18 month old leonberger, without much knowledge of his past. A leonberger being rehomed, you know there will be some challenges! Initially we were wanting help with loose lead walking as our efforts were getting us nowhere! Darran came recommended through the Leonberger club, and I particularly liked his positive reinforcement training approach. Darran’s vast knowledge of dog behaviour was evident in the first few minutes of our first assessment, and it was clear we needed help with more than just loose lead walking! We looked forward to our sessions and the connection that grew with our dog using techniques that he responded well to. We have a much calmer dog now, and some great tools to help manage potentially stressful situations.
